The problem

SOFTA needed production web applications delivered end to end, from requirements to deployment and production support, on a PHP based stack covering Laravel, CodeIgniter and WordPress, with steady quality as scope and timelines moved.

My role

Senior Back End Developer in Alexandria from January 2024 to February 2025, leading a small backend team of five through task coordination, code review, technical guidance, and unblocking daily work, while owning delivery from technical plans to release and support.

Architecture

• Delivery ownership: turned requirements into technical plans, then into implementation, deployment, and production support, keeping scope, tasks, and releases aligned.
• Team leadership: coordinated tasks across five developers, reviewed code for clarity and consistency, guided implementation choices, and removed blockers early.
• PHP platform depth: built and maintained systems with PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter and WordPress, backed by MySQL and REST APIs for data exchange between modules.
• Production care: supported live systems with debugging, fixes, and follow up, including Digital Authentication flows where access control mattered.
